Check Availability →You will board a spacious 40 passenger catamaran to cruise the west coast of Oahu in search of wild dolphins. This double-hulled catamaran gives you a comfortable and stable ride as you relax and take in the breathtaking views of the ocean and the mountains.
In the clear waters of west Oahu, you will look for wild dolphin pods swimming gracefully in small or large groups. While keeping a respectful distance from the dolphins, you can also search for Hawaiian green sea turtles, tropical island fish, and other rare wild sea creatures. During the winter months, there is also the chance to watch the annual migration of humpback whales as they play in the west Oahu waters.
On the way back, the majestic cascading views of the Waianae mountain range are so beautiful they will take your breath away. Dolphins and other animals are wild, so sightings are never guaranteed, and the species you see will vary with the conditions of the day.

These are truly wild animals, and we follow the law to protect them. Since October 28, 2021, regulations under the Marine Mammal Protection Act have banned approaching Hawaiian spinner dolphins within 50 yards. That means we watch and swim from 50 yards away when we are near Hawaiian spinner dolphins, while you can still swim as usual around Hawaiian spotted dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, and other wild creatures.
The tour experience itself does not change, but because dolphins are wildlife, the species you can see will vary with the day. Keeping a respectful distance is how we help protect these animals so future visitors can enjoy them too. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
There is no shuttle service outside Waikiki and Ko Olina, so guests in other areas are welcome to meet the boat at the harbor. Wetsuits can be rented on board for an extra $10 for adults and $5 for children.
Feel free to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks, since we also provide water, juice, and lunch. Please note that bananas are not allowed on the boat, following a long-held Hawaiian superstition that they bring bad luck at sea. Also, do not leave personal belongings on the shuttle bus during the tour, so pack light and bring only what you need on the boat.
Free round trip shuttle service is available from the Waikiki and Ko Olina areas. The catamaran departs from Waianae Boat Harbor on Oahu's scenic west side, at 85-491 Farrington Hwy, Waianae, HI 96792. Guests outside the shuttle areas are welcome to meet the boat at the harbor.
No refunds or rescheduling will be made for any reason less than 48 hours prior to the shuttle pickup time. On the day of the tour, any cancellation due to a wrong pickup location, wrong meeting time, or delay is treated as a cancellation, with or without notice to us, and no refund will be made. For bookings of 6 or more people, no refunds or rescheduling will be made less than 72 hours prior to the tour start time.
